Ok, who's hungover?

So, like everyone else, Irish or not, I took part in the St. Patrick's Day tradition and had a drink.  (Ok, it was a BIG one!).  In spite of that drink, I lost another pound this week, bringing the total to 26.

I've started back slowly at the gym, but I am hoping to up my time spent there over the next several weeks so that I can jump start some additional weight loss.

Go take some Motrin and have a great weekend!

Good news!

Here is the obligatory Friday post with weight loss numbers - and it's a good one!  3 more pounds this week, which brings the total to 25.

I'm pretty excited as that has been my biggest loss since week 1.  I have to admit that the last few weeks have been a little frustrating as I'm used to losing weight a lot faster than I have been this time.  I'm a New Yorker in every sense of the word and I like things to happen fast.

But I like the number "25" - it seems a lot more substantial than "22" - I am looking forward to the number "30" - let's see if I can get there by the end of the month (ok - by April 1st, which is the Friday of that week)

I'm liking the feeling!

Ok, let's just say that over the last several months I've had to "adjust" my wardrobe because the clothes that I was wearing in early 2014 when I was at my lowest weight were no longer an option.  However, I had given away all of my clothes that I had been wearing at my heaviest and part of the way down.

I am starting to get back into some of the clothes that I couldn't wear a couple of months ago.  I LOVE that the things I had been wearing have gotten too loose and now I can put those away and start re-introducing some other things back into my current wardrobe.

I remember loving this feeling the last time - it's still a great feeling!  I look forward to when I can actually wear all of my "skinny" clothes again!

Still going in the right direction!

Good morning everyone!

I have added another pound to my weight loss and now the total is 22 pounds.  I was a hair short of 2 pounds this week, so I am hoping that I can report a 2 pound loss next week!  I was considering going back to bed for 1/2 hour to lose that last .1, but I figured it would give me something to look forward to for NEXT week!

I really need to get back to the gym - THAT is the only way the pounds really come off.   Still a few little physical things keeping me out, but I will get there soon!

Have a good one!

Sorry I'm late!

I know it's Monday and you were all anxiously awaiting a Friday post, but the storm knocked out the internet where I was (and I hate posting from my phone!)

I lost another pound last week bringing the total to 21.

It's going a lot slower than the last time, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's going in the right direction.  And luckily my goal isn't as high as the 100 pounds it was the last time!

Have a great day all!

It's Friday!

Welcome to the end of the work week!

I have some great news today - this week I lost 3 pounds which brings my total to 20 pounds!  In spite of the long weekend, I had my best week yet since the big first week.

Seeing the number this morning has given me stronger motivation.  Even though it's only a 3 pound difference, 20 pounds sounds like a LOT more than 17.

This week I am going to totally refocus on the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow - better health and smaller clothes!  Have a great weekend my friends!

Lead me not to temptation..........

I normally try to stay away from places that will trigger me to potentially do bad things, so I don't go to places like Dylan's Candy store, etc.

The other morning, I had to get coffee on my way to work and the closest place was Dunkin' Donuts.  For the record, I'm one of the few people who don't love their coffee (nor do I like Starbucks!), but it was freezing and I just wanted to go to the closest place.

Well, I led myself to temptation!  While waiting for them to make my coffee, I found myself staring at 3 unbelievable looking donuts - one filled with brownie batter, one filled with cookie dough and something called "fudge croissant donut".  Well, that's a LOT of temptation.

I kept saying to myself "look away!", but it seemed like it took 3 hours for them to make a cup of coffee!  I did manage to get out of there with ONLY my coffee, but I'm glad they didn't have "free samples" on the counter!
